The 100th day of school is coming up! Sometimes, it can be difficult to find creative things to do with your students that are both fun and educational. At Adventures in Kinder and Beyond, there are so many fun hundredth day of school activities for kindergarten, you’ve come to the right place!
Celebrate the Hundredth Day of School By Dressing Up
One way to celebrate the day is to have your students dress up in a fun outfit. Some schools have their students dress up like someone who is 100 years old. While this a fun hundredth day of school activity, not all students are going to necessarily get to participate. You can have students dress up by putting 100 stickers on a white shirt or gluing 100 pom poms onto their clothing. There are so many fun dress up activities you can do. It’s all about knowing your students and knowing their participation abilities.
Fun Hundredth Day of School No Prep Printables and Worksheets
Another great way to celebrate the hundredth day of school is with fun activities. You can do this with no prep printables and worksheets. These worksheets focus on writing, counting, coloring by code, hidden pictures and more! All of these worksheets work on skills that you’ve been working on in your classroom, so you can use them as morning motivation, for fast finishers, or you can use them in centers.
If you are looking for something even easier, there are digital activities that help students with ten frames. Because these are on SeeSaw, they are super easy to pull up and assign to your students.
Read a Book
For reading time, you can focus on the hundredth day of school with a 100th day book! While you read aloud, you can ask students questions about characters, setting, and I’m sure you and your students will have the opportunity to count to 100!
Fun Hundredth Day Activities with Fine Motor Skills
Fine motor skills are an important part of kindergarten and beyond. You can have students practice their fine motor skills by having them trace a 100 with erasers or other manipulatives. Add shapes to the picture to have your students make various shapes with the erasers.
Another great fine motor skill activity is making a necklace. You can start by having your students place 100 round cereal pieces in 100 boxes. Next, have them lace the pieces of cereal onto a string to make an edible necklace!
Use Task Cards
Task Cards are always a great way to celebrate the hundredth day of school. When you use task cards, students can work independently or in small groups. These work great for center activities and for fast finishers!
