Student Kits For Distance Learning
When I heard we were staring our school year virtually, I began thinking about what my students would need school supply wise. Last spring the only item they took with them was an iPad. I knew that starting off the year there was so much more they needed.

Manipulatives for at-home learning
My district must have been thinking like I was because they are building these student kits for everyone in Pre-K through 3rd grade! I am so thankful that my students will have manipulatives that are needed to start the year and help them with their learning.
Materials
I am building a kit just like the ones my students are getting so I will have all the same materials to teach my lessons with. Here is a list of what they are getting

a list of materials in each kit
Students are getting their items sent home on a larger sturdy ziplock bag. In my room, I used an iris storage box to hold my items

Where can I find these things?
Let me tell you where some of the items came from. The upper and lowercase letters are from http://alphabetletter.com
They have even have set of Spanish letters! I am using smaller alphabet arcs with my kit but my students will be getting the larger upper and lowercase mats from the same website.
My mini magnetic whiteboard is from Oriental Trading. Everything else was items I had in my classroom. I put did a search on Amazon and found all these items. I created a list that is on my Amazon page.
Now when my students come back to my classroom for face to face instruction they will bring these kits back with them. This way everyone has their own set of materials and no one needs to share. I just hope they don't lose anything..HAHA
Did you send home kits for your students? Leave me a comment and let me know what you had inside.
